Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing decisions in many areas of our lives. But how transparent, trustworthy, and sustainable are these systems?
This session explores how AI models generate results and how these outputs can be interpreted in practice. We look at typical challenges when working with algorithmic decisions, especially when results appear confident despite underlying uncertainty.
Using a simple healthcare example as an illustration, we explain how such situations arise and how they can be better understood.
We also highlight the often-overlooked environmental footprint of AI systems, raising awareness of the resources required to build and run them.
Participants will gain an intuitive understanding of Responsible AI and learn how to critically reflect on AI-driven results in everyday contexts.
